It’s that time again…time to start training for the Cherry Blossom Credit Union Ten Mile Run. 🙂  I’ll be throwing on my running shoes and hitting the pavement (or the treadmill if I can’t handle the blustering cold from Jack Frost) and logging the miles.  My goal, just like any other race I’ve done, will be to beat my previous time.  Y’all can follow my training progress HERE.  PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment with your running tips and/or inspiration.  Meeting my own goals is great motivation, but it’s also helpful when others share what works for them.

The Cherry Blossom run is fun for us runners, but there’s also a very worthy cause behind the race that focuses on the well being of little bitties. – The Children’s Miracle Network. I think every little ones deserves a chance at a happy childhood and a healthy present and future. If you’d like to share a little love and donate to this event you can do so by going HERE.

“Children’s Miracle Network is a charity that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network are used to provide charitable care, purchase life-saving equipment, and fund research and education programs that save and improve the lives of 17 million children each year.” (ChildrensMiracleNetwork.org)

To my friends who are running with me on April 3, 2011 – Here we go…

If you run 100 miles a week, you can eat anything you want — Why? Because

(a) you’ll burn all the calories you consume,

(b) you deserve it, and

(c) you’ll be injured soon and back on a restricted diet anyway.
